Earth Names New Company President Champion A Long-Time Industry Veteran WALTHAM, Mass. —Earth, Inc. has appointed Gary Champion to the newly-created role of president. Champion brings a wealth of industry experience to the position, having had an extended tenure at Clarks, where he last held the position of senior vice president of the wholesale division. In his 25 years with the organization, Champion was an integral member of an executive team that nurtured the growth of Clarks from a smaller, independent operation to a well-diversified brand of national renown. In the role of president, Champion will oversee all aspects of business development and operations across the company’s major brand divisions. Harry Kubetz will continue in his position as chief operating officer, and Michel Meynard will continue in his role as chairman. With roots in the Boston area, Champion will be based at Earth, Inc.’s global headquarters in Waltham, Mass. Champion will initiate his employment with Earth, Inc. within the coming weeks upon completion of current commitments to his previous employer.
