Pediped Presents New Line Of Larger Sizes
Children’s Brand Launches Flex Collection

HENDERSON, Nev. (Mar. 27, 2008)—Children’s footwear brand Pediped is growing right along with its target customers with the launch of its Flex collection. Due to requests for larger sizes of its soft-soled shoes, the company decided to develop a stylish line of rubber-soled footwear for children 2 to 5 years old.

“Our company grew with our customer base,” says president Angela Edgeworth. “Our little babies were walking now, and style savvy parents were concerned for the health of their toddler’s growing feet.”

To kick off the line’s launch, pediped hosted a bash at Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York earlier this month. More than 100 guests arrived in style, strutting down a purple carpet and taking in a footwear fashion show. During the party, the company presented the Make-A-Wish Foundation with a check for $15,000; it plans to raise as much as $50,000 for the organization this year.

Modeled after Pediped’s initial soft sole concept, the new collection offers a plethora of features including flexible skid-resistant rubber soles, pliable ‘Flex Zone’ support, the Flex Fit System, arch support, customizable insoles and shock-absorbing cushions. Plus, it’s designed to resemble the hottest runway trends of the season. Metallic gladiator sandals shine with rhinestone details, Mary Janes hit the spot with polka dots and floral details bloom for the girls. Boys can hide with canvas camouflage-printed rubber toes, stay suave in two-tone printed suede sneakers and rule the word in gladiator and leather braided sandals. Retail range for the Flex collection is $38 to $48.
