R.G. Barry Announces Promotion, Hire
Coons, Yannucci Part of Brand Expansion Plans

PICKERINGTON, Ohio– R.G. Barry Corporation has named Nancy Coons president of its Dearfoams brand and Douglas J. Yannucci to the newly created post of VP of sales planning and category management.

Coons joins the company from her own Massachusetts-based brand consulting business. She previously has managed apparel businesses at the executive level for companies including New Balance, Oakley, Inc. and Nike, Inc. She has also worked in merchandising for companies including Walt Disney and Limited Brands.

“We are very excited to have someone of Nancy’s caliber joining our team,” said R.G. Barry president and CEO Greg Tunney. “As we broaden the Dearfoams presence domestically and begin expanding into international markets, her strong global merchandising experience and branding vision are going to be tremendous assets. We believe that Nancy’s leadership can also significantly complement the multi-million dollar, multi-year Dearfoams advertising and branding campaign that was launched in February.”

Regarding Yannucci's promotion, Tunny said, “We lead our industry in category and replenishment management. To ensure that this leadership continues, we are bringing strong talent and powerful tools to bear on what we view as one of the most critical elements in our business. Doug’s proven management and sales skills coupled with his understanding of our overall sales environment make him ideal to fill this newly created role. His efforts will enhance our leadership position and raise the bar for our sales and merchandising teams.”

Yannucci joined R.G. Barry in October 2005 and prior to his most recent role as president of Barry’s Dearfoams brand, he served as VP, sales, Wal-Mart Global for the Company.
