Shoe Carnival, Soles4Souls Pair Up
Retailer Collects Funds And Footwear

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 18, 2008)—Shoe Carnival (SCVL) will partner with Soles4Souls early next month for a three-week fundraising and shoe trade-in event. From September 3 through September 24, all 300 Shoe Carnival locations will collect $2 contributions as well as gently worn shoes for the footwear charity. As an added incentive, customers that donate footwear will receive a $5 Shoe Carnival coupon.

“We are thrilled to partner with Shoe Carnival again,” says Wayne Elsey, founder and CEO of Soles4Souls. “Not only do the shoes donated by their customers make a huge impact on the lives of thousands of people in desperate need; but also, the funds raised through the $2 donation program will buy new shoes for someone who has never owned a pair of shoes.”

“Shoe Carnival is proud to support Soles4Souls through this exclusive fundraising program,” adds Shoe Carnival’s senior vice president of marketing Todd Beurman. “This partnership is a strong fit for our company and one that we think our Shoe Carnival customers will embrace. The funds raised and shoes donated in our stores will make a meaningful impact on the lives of people in need around the world.”
