Taos' Canadian Sales Go Through The Roof On Target to Exceed First Season Sales by 600 Percent TORRANCE, Calif.—Comfort brand Taos Footwear is currently entering into its third season selling in Canada through Gredico Footwear. After a solid start with the spring ’09 Collection, sales for the spring 2010 collection are on track to reach over 600 percent of the first season’s total as of January 15.
According to Gredico President Rick Diradour, "There was an opening in the Canadian market for a women’s relevant ‘wellness’ fashion brand. We knew their reputations in the marketplace and know that their integrity will transcend through the brand."
Gredico Footwear has been a leading footwear sourcing agent and wholesaler for more than 35 years. It has expanded its account base to 800 active accounts due to an insistence on quality merchandise, on time deliveries, a high level of customer service and the ability to provide in-stock and in-season replenishment by size.
As with distribution in the United States, Gredico sells Taos Footwear to a collection of leading dealers that includes independents and regional chains. Early excitement for the Taos Footwear spring 2010 Collection in Canada includes the Treasure, Prize, Hop, Skip and Jump styles with blacks and browns selling strongly, along with pewter, khaki and blue.
Diradour also states that, "Taos appears to be a good fit with our customers because the brand offers quality fashionable comfort footwear at a premium value. Taos also has a broad appeal across the age spectrum. With Taos and Gredico working together, we feel we can take the brand to the next level."
