Customers Demand Fashionable Comfort At Dryer’s Shoes Midwestern Women Want Clarks, Born In the small, southwestern Missouri town of Joplin, women want to look as sexy as they feel, but not at the cost of being uncomfortable. At comfort shoe store Dryer’s Shoes, the staff is trained to fit feet and local physicians are known to refer patients with foot problems—ideal for demanding customers who want to pick up the latest in fashionable comfort footwear. “Women are going back to looking more like women,” manager Janice Reddin tells WSAToday.com. “They’re wanting the more feminine shoes. We’re selling a lot of high heels.” Other feminine flairs these “we can have it all” consumers are seeking include a narrow cut toe and such ornamentation as bows and buckles. “Comfortable shoes don’t have to be boxy and older-looking any more,” Reddin says. “You can get the comfort in the pretty shoes.” Here are a few of the trend-right styles seen strutting through the Show-Me state.
