The Box Is Bigger And Better
Fashion-Forward Brands Will Stand Out

After a successful debut at the February ’08 show, The Box at WSA is not only back, but now three times the size, adding roughly 30 more exhibitors to the event. Image This chic, modern space will again include fashion-forward up-and-coming brands, such as Charles David, Boutique 9, Sacha London and Nina, as well as other industry leaders. The intimate design of The Box at WSA provides brands with the perfect backdrop for product. “We’re definitely honing in on what the area should be about and what product and lifestyle categories we should be focusing on,” says WSA director of sales Pamela Lumpkin-Baffo.

By keeping the exhibit simple and neutral, shoes will pop off the shelves, making it easier for buyers and retailers to focus on the fresh, innovative brands special to the exhibit. The openness of The Box at WSA also gives retailers and buyers the chance to shop in a relaxed setting. “It’s not an intimidating environment. It’s a fun, productive way to shop the market,” adds WSA director of retail relations Celeste Boehm. The Box at WSA will also move into a space adjacent to the contemporary brands, a perfect companion to the trendy, youth-oriented category.
