ENCINO, Calif.—This November, buyers registering for The WSA Show had a little extra incentive for being early birds. All those registering in the month of November were eligible to win a $500 American Express gift card. Last week the lucky winners were announced: Kathy Douglas of Dots in Solon, Ohio; Ed Joseph of Baskins in Livingston, Texas and Chris McQueen of It’s Fashion in Charlotte, North Carolina.
“I love The WSA Show,” says Douglas. “It really gives us an opportunity to pull the whole team together, walk the show, talk about the footwear business and look at it as a team. We see new resources and our current resources, look at all the trends and it’s one stop shopping. It’s great to be able to pull the team together for a couple of days and take all of that in.”

Douglas, who says she registers early “to get on top of it and be organized” was excited to win. “I think it was a great promotion, and I can’t wait to pick up my AmEx card.”

“I don’t even remember knowing there was a drawing,” laughs Joseph, who adds that he’s making his first visit to The WSA Show. “I always have a good time in Las Vegas when I’m there, but I’ll probably be too busy absorbing footwear information to go to a show. But you never know, I’ll have $500 to spend!”

While the November contest is over, attendees to the show still have ample opportunity to win thanks to WSA Showstoppers.
