CULVER CITY, Calif. (Mar. 11, 2008)—Last week, it was announced that Taryn Rose, the orthopedic surgeon turned footwear designer, is stepping down from her post as president and board member at Taryn Rose International in order to “pursue other interests.”

Today, Taryn Rose International CEO Andrew Forbes tells WSAToday.com, “We wish Taryn every success with her future plans, whatever they may be.” Despite the exit, he promises business as usual: “There will be no changes in the company’s brands.” Forbes also notes, “Last year we had strong revenue growth. Our plans remain on track as our company evolves to the next level.”

In the prior release, chairman David Crossland says, “Taryn and her team have built an incredible brand during her 10 years with the company. She was the first person to launch a fashion shoe brand that combined style and comfort, and 10 years later, the brand continues to be the market leader in this category. We wish her the best in her new endeavors.”

Following Rose’s departure, creative design will continue to be developed in-house, both in Italy and the company’s headquarters in Culver City, Calif. According to the company, revenues from all North American and European operations were at record levels last year.
